Centreville-Chicopee Community Centre - Jan 9-10th, 2026

We kicked off the new year with a joyful gathering of weavers at the Centreville-Chicopee Community Centre on the second weekend of January. The room was filled with curious, creative people drawn to willow weaving through all kinds of passions including furniture building, sailing, ceramics, printmaking, and rural property stewardship, just to name a few.

There were heartfelt reunions of friends, creative date nights, and families sharing a hands-on outing together. Between the steady rhythm of weaving and plenty of fresh-baked cookies, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of conversation. By the end of the weekend, everyone felt accomplished having hand-made some beautiful willow swallows, then went home with the unmistakable, earthy scent of willow lingering on their fingertips.
