Kick Off Weekend @ 44G - Nov 14 & 15, 2025

In November 2025, we officially launched our Kick-Off Weekend with four vibrant workshops at 44 Gaukel Creative Workspace. The downtown setting was electric; the steady flow of pedestrians and the lively energy of Gaukel Street seemed to ripple right into the studio, giving the whole space a wonderful buzz of creativity and connection.

Our very first group included staff from the City of Kitchener - and they quickly set the bar as some of the fastest weavers we’ve hosted so far! Across the weekend, we welcomed friends and families ranging in age from 10 to 80, each bringing their own enthusiasm and stories. Some participants travelled from the East Coast for a special family weaving weekend, new immigrants dove in with joyful curiosity and big smiles, and groups of friends gathered to share a meaningful and memorable bonding experience.

With hands busy weaving, conversations flowing, and plenty of homemade brownies and sparkling beverages to keep everyone fueled, our Kick-Off Weekend was warm, lively, and truly delightful — the perfect beginning to what we hope will be many more creative gatherings to come.
